BT Design encompasses significant pools of expertise across a broad range of IT and web-based disciplines. Here’s a brief overview of our structure and the areas we recruit into:
Service Design Is central to the delivery of BT’s overall business strategy; working with individual business areas to drive the design, development and deployment of technology-enabled customer services.
Group Service Design performs a similar role at a Group-wide level, with additional responsibility for the design and development of "front end" customer delivery services such as BT.com, B2B portal, SDK.
21CN Core Service Design ensures end-to-end programme management and delivery of the converged core programme (architecture, design, plan, build, deployment and customer migration). It provides a single point of coordination for the whole 21CN programme, and is accountable for the design and delivery of all 21CN network components.
Global Integration works with areas of business currently outside the 21CN operating model in order to align their technology with BT Design principles, while also championing non UK-based BT Design resources.
Chief Architect maintains a clear and integrated architectural end-state for BT’s network, ensuring the delivery of world-class convergence services.
Strategy ensures that BT’s long-term strategy is supported by a clear insight into emerging trends in convergent technologies and capabilities, as well as their operational implications.
Customer Experience ensures the rate of realisation (development, integration, delivery and deployment) of our 21C network, IT and product capabilities is sufficient to deliver customer experience targets.
Business Operations ensures the unit’s efficient day-to-day operation, driving the delivery of business commitments, customer experience targets and all internal processes in order to meet operational and strategic goals.
Human Resources ensures that the people strategy and supporting operational processes deliver a “right-size, right-shape” organisation, both now and in the long-term, as well as a fully engaged workforce.
Finance ensures the operational and financial performance of BT Design and all associated processes are effectively managed and tracked.
Security ensures that BT’s information, systems and networks have world-class, externally validated end-to-end security, providing Risk Assessment and mitigation advice for Customer Experience deliveries and existing IT Systems and Networks.
Webside Realisation is responsible for delivering tools and information and network security to BT people and partners wherever they need to work, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to work and collaborate securely over a browser on multiple device formats worldwide.
