Professional Services and Customer Experience

Forward thinking

Are you highly driven with plenty of business sense, and a strategic thinker? Or are you a great motivator, who enjoys leading teams and likes to have a direct impact on people? Either way, you could be helping us shape the future of the company in BT’s Professional Services & Customer Experience stream. You’ll either be in a rotational role, gaining experience in a number of different areas, or in a fixed role working on different projects within BT, or even off-site with a client. Whatever role you go into, you’ll be making a significant impact on our customers and on the wider world we live in. During your programme, you’ll attend a variety of residential courses to develop your communication and influencing skills, as well as your ability to motivate and lead teams.

ROLES YOU COULD EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

Project management – working alongside other project managers, your role could involve developing contracts for our major corporate suppliers, or bringing new products and services to market. You’ll develop your leadership skills and the ability to balance the competing demands of time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Business improvement – in this role, you’ll be helping to implement change across our business. You’ll need to understand the impact that technology can have on a business, develop a broad, yet in-depth knowledge of BT, have a strong problem-solving ability, and an eye for detail to help us improve the way we work.

Business consultancy – you’ll be helping our corporate customers manage strategic business change. This can involve the redesign of their business processes and solving any technical issues that may be hindering growth, or finding ways to change and improve the way they work. You’ll need to be confident, adaptable, and have excellent communication and influencing skills.

Customer Management – as a team leader you’ll be making a direct impact on the satisfaction of our customers. For instance, you could be managing a team of engineers in the field, and to succeed, you’ll need to be resilient, cool under pressure, quick-thinking and focused.

Business / Corporate Sales – your training will see you join a world-class sales team that ensures our corporate customers have precisely the right technology to meet their needs. You’ll be working closely with senior management, fostering relationships across all parts of BT and your customers’ businesses. You’ll need a strong personality, good judgement and a passion for finding the best possible solutions.
