How will I know you have received my application?
You will receive an email within 3 working days acknowledging receipt of your application.
Do I still need the same qualifications and do I have to apply via the same process if I already work for BT?
Yes, our application procedure is exactly the same for internal and external applicants.
Is there an age limit for applicants or a time limit between graduating from business school and applying for an MBA job?
There is no age limit but you need to be in either your final year of business school or to have graduated with an MBA from business school with up to date knowledge of MBA theory and thinking.
What MBA vacancies do you have?

Where are the vacancies located?
The majority of our MBA vacancies are currently based in London, the remainder being in other major cities and towns within the UK. Some positions will involve frequent travel.
Can MBAs from outside the European Economic Area apply?
Yes, BT will apply for a sponsored work permit on your behalf, subject to you providing all of the necessary and valid documents and information. After a period of 2 years, you will be expected to apply for Tier 1 (General Highly Skilled Migrant) status.
Will I be able to study for further qualifications?
Yes, where you can demonstrate that further education would benefit both you and the company. Full time study is rarely supported and the extent of any support given to further education must be agreed by your line manager.
Can I move within BT?
Yes, moves within BT are an accepted means of career and personal development. New job opportunities arise regularly and are advertised internally. Development moves within the business would be something you would discuss with your line manager as part of your development plan, and also with your mentor.
Will I be able to work overseas?
All our current MBA vacancies are based in the UK. There may be opportunities to travel abroad within the roles. We do offer some overseas secondment opportunities for European-based people and we also continue to exchange managers with other European telecommunications companies.
How is my progress monitored?
From the start, your performance will be measured against both personal and team objectives. You will also have regular performance reviews with your line manager, where you will be expected to demonstrate a continuous, effective contribution to the business.
