Even though the environment of a technology company felt pretty familiar to me, the role and the job itself were totally different. As I was getting more acquainted with BT’s vision and future plans, I become really excited about the scale and speed of change that the company is trying to achieve. I found many of the areas that BT is trying to play in to be quite exciting.

The MLP team which I joined for the summer has very strong support from the top management, which provided me and other interns a chance to meet CEOs and senior executives and talk to them in informal settings. Once again I was struck by their level of commitment and their strong vision for the company’s future. As for team members - I made new friends and it felt as if I knew many of these people for a long time.

Most importantly, I have realised that the complexity and size of BT, combined with revolutionary initiatives and a strong drive to be agile and fast, provide enormous opportunities for those who willing to utilise them and act.
