Support whenever you need it

We understand that starting work as a full-time employee can be daunting. That's why we've put in place a support network to help you settle in, socialise with fellow undergraduates and graduates, and meet others in the organisation.

Meet your buddy

On joining, you'll be introduced to your buddy - another member of your team - who'll answer your questions and be there for you day-to-day if you need help.

Gradnet

Gradnet is a network run by graduates for graduates and undergraduates, and provides you with all the help and advice you may need.

Through Gradnet you'll find out which undergraduates and graduates are in your area. Your regional co-ordinator will invite you to social and business events to help you make friends and start building your own personal network of contacts.

Gradnet is also a forum for discussion. You can discuss any topical issues or general questions with the Gradnet team and other members.

Other support networks

We have other networks supporting our diverse workforce. These include:

  • BT Women's Network and Executive Women’s Network
  • Ethnic Minority Network
  • Asian, Muslim and Christian networks
  • Able2 - disabled network
  • Kaleidoscope - gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender network

These groups organise a variety of events to help you make contact with people in other parts of the business.

Over 10,000 BT employees are home-workers and 64,000 more are equipped to work flexibly.
