BT has picked up a top industry award for outstanding business innovation in online customer service and business support.
The award, presented by the British Institute of Technology and E-Commerce, recognises quality and best practice in service and the use of innovation to improve commercial performance.
BT Innovate head of research operations Ivan Boyd collected the award at a ceremony in London, held before this year’s World
Hi-Tech Forum - an event focusing on business success through innovation and global partnering.
“BT is a company where innovation makes a huge difference to how we operate,” said Ivan. “It’s good to have industry recognition that we are a leader in the field.”
Ivan went on to speak at the forum on the subject of cultivating a global innovation ecosystem. “We are constantly scouting for technology across the world that we can tap into and make best use of,” he told delegates. “Innovation is not just about new ideas but how to deliver them.”
