Smart marketing provides ‘genius’ boost to sales BT is offering UK businesses the chance to boost sales – thanks to a ‘genius’ approach to e-mail marketing. The company is linking up with US-based Genius.com to sell the software that has seen some customers report a trebling in sales.

Called BT Smart Marketing, the innovative marketing solution allows users to instantly track responses to e-mail marketing to help generate more sales.

When a business sends an e-mail to prospective customers, BT Smart Marketing sends an alert back when it’s opened and when a customer visits the businesses’ website. This provides vital intelligence which helps firms to understand which customers represent the best prospect for a sale. The solution also shows exactly which web pages customers visit, so the company knows what the customer is interested in before the first call.
