The prize included tickets for the Opening Ceremony, return flights and five nights’ accommodation at a four star luxury hotel, an Olympian-hosted dinner plus £2,000 spending money.
The winner was Mr Eccles of Cheltenham who also received tickets for four Olympic events: Rowing, Artistic Gymnastics, Basketball and Badminton and the chance for sightseeing with a visit to the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China.
