"The Way We Work" is BT's Statement of Business Practice. It is a revision of the previous statement to reflect BT's growing global presence and to reflect some of the ethical concerns that shareholders, customers and employees now expect companies to address. It is framed by BT's new vision and values and also reflects some of the issues included in BT's social report published in July 1999.
The statement sets out BT's business principles as well as its aspirations and specific commitments to its stakeholders (customers, employees, shareholders, partners, suppliers and community). These include commitments to compete fairly, to protect the confidentiality of company, employee and customer information and to minimise the company's impact on the environment.
