BT – the protector

Modern society faces a number of threats – and it’s BT’s aim to protect our customers, partners and the communities in which we work.

Through our Civil Resilience team, part of BT Security & Continuity, we are dedicated to detecting and preventing those threats – and to acting swiftly and effectively whenever they do arise.

We work in close partnership with the Government, emergency services and utilities at local, regional and local level to create effective response plans for major civil emergencies, in the UK and further afield.

In recent years, BT has helped the Police to respond during the London bombings, and gave vital assistance during the UK floods of 2007. And we’ve also been out in the field supporting international relief operations following the devastating earthquake in Kashmir, and the Asian tsunami in 2005.
